Yet another Christmas approaches

And with this lovely time of year comes the oh-my-gosh-it's-Christmas-and-I-haven't-bought-any-presents-yet season. At least, it does for a lot of adults I know. Including my dad. Which is why I always keep a list of not just what I want, but what my mom wants, too.
Sheesh. They should pay me for this. Maybe I could start a company. Super Happy Girl's Christmas Gift Shopping Service. I bet I'd make millions.
Of course, there's another lovely rainy Christmas camp with the rest of the Girl Guides. Actually, I think it will be fun, as in December it's too cold to do any treks anyway.
I found this cute little picture the other day, I thought I'd post it.

Anyway, bye! Also, make sure you know what you are getting for people so you don't have to get them all candles or something tacky like that.

Wet Camp Weekend

Oh, boy did it rain at camp. We were in an extra heated cabin, which was good, but it rained most of the time outside. And, of course, most of our time was SPENT outside. I tell you, having to play Fruit Salad in the pouring rain is no picnic.
Our camp was supposed to teach us about Canada, but we mostly learned about how to sneak around and how not to make a sandwich. Tip: when you make a sandwich with mayonnaise, do NOT spread mayo on both sides of the bread. It makes the sandwich very sticky. I didn't do this, but my friend, who wasn't watching what she was doing, did. It was disgusting.
We ate smores, but they were broiler smores, because at the time it was raining too hard to do walk outside, let alone cook anything.
I actually had a really good time, because the people that I went with were nice, but it was very cold, very wet, and very ful of very tired people.
Goodbye. I must nap.
Big Toe says:A lot of parents pack up their troubles and send them off to summer camp.

Camp in the Rain

I am going to camp tomorrow for the weekend. I was really pleased about going, until I looked out of the window this morning and saw rain. Well, not really rain. It's what someone I know refers to as "bucketing".
Also I made a new website. You can find it here.
I am not packed up yet for camp, but at least it's cabin camping. In a heated cabin. Last year I went camping in an unheated cabin and boy, was it cold. Freezing, practically.
New song alert: Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield

It's not actually a new song, but I've just discovered it.
I've decided that in addition to the Big Toe quotes, I'll put a tip of the day in if I find one worth sharing.
Tip of the Day: If you have a website,
is the code for making things bold,
is the code for making things italic, and
is the code for making things underlined. Simply copy my code and use it whenever you like. I've noticed that Blogger doesn't include this feature, which is sad.
Links are made with this code:

They look something like this. It's a link to my website. The THIS is what I put where it says WHAT YOU WANT TO NAME YOU SITE HERE.
Big Toe says: I've never understood why people go out in the rain with the sole purpose of making themselves cold and miserable.

I sure wish the rain would stop

Well, actually, it's not really raining right now. But it feels like it is.

i really love this song, so I thought I would put in the video. Truth be told, the video isn't great, but oh well. Just put on screensaver.
Big Toe Says: Music is what feelings sound like.

I was sick!

Yes! I was! And I still am a bit. My friends like being sick because they get to stay home from school, but I don't.
4 reasons why being sick is not so great:
1. If you're sick on a weekend, then if doesn't do anything.
2. If you're sick in the summertime, then it doesn't do anything.
3. If you were supposed to go somewhere fun or important, then it's REALLY lousy.
4. AND, if you weren't supposed to go anywhere and it's a Thursday in November, then you'll still feel lousy.
So, my point is: don't get sick. Never. Just don't!
Anyhow, if that made you depressed, or you are sick too, I'll send you some of my halloween candy through post. If I haven't eaten it all by then.
I thought that for fun I would post a picture of some stuffies I made. I think they're cute.

Here's A Strange Video!

It's dumb, I know. But I saw it on YouTube, and I thought it was kind, of cute, with the colourful animation.
Big Toe says: You're not trying to get me to say another quote, are you???????
Me. Yes.
Big Toe says: I'm going on strike.
Me: Oh yeah???
Big Toe says: ---------------
Me: HEY!!!! Sorry. Quote:Dumb movies either make you laugh, or make you axe your TV.

Music Top 10

I was just making dinner and listening to my ipod, and I thought I would make a top ten playlist. So, Here we go! (these are in no particular order, I just like them all.)
1. No One by Alicia Keys.
2. My Love by Justin Timberlake.
3. Feel It by Black Eyed Peas.
4. All Good Things Come To An End by Nelly Furtado.
5. Hey There Delila by the Plain White Ts (my spelling may be questionable for this one).
6. Video by India Arie.
7. Sweet Escape by Gwen Stefani.
8. We Ride by Rihanna.
9. Every Little Bit Hurts by Alicia Keys.
10 Candyman by Christina Agulera.
11. Stronger by Kanye West
12. My Style by the Black Eyed Peas.
I know that there's 12. but top ten sounds better, even if there are more than would be expected.
Oh, and also, I was looking at a picture in the Holt Renfrew catalogue, and I thought, hey! I could make that!. The necklace was really just a big piece of ribbon with brown beads on it. So if I happen to make, I'll put a picture of it on this blog.
Oh! AND, the pumpkin Totoro that we made is no more, and I forgot to take a picture of it.
Goodnight!
Big Toe says: "La, lala, lalala, la la LA!
Hey, wait, that's not a quote.
Me: Music has charms to sooth a savage breast.

Flu Shot

I got a flu shot! It hurt, too.
Now, I must kick off by saying I've always been REALLY, REALLY afraid of pain. REALLY. But these flu shots are very strange. The initial shot doesn't hurt very much, but afterwards my arm starts to feel numb.
I think it's all very strange. I can't say I'd like to be a doctor when I grow up. Or a dentist (but that's another story...)
I ate a hamburger at the house of some kids I was babysitting yesterday, and I'm still in shock. These are not burgers. These are strange brown things on floppy round bread circles. While I'm not sure I like the burgers at the local Vera's, they are certainly better than THESE. I'm pretty sure I like to eat hamburgers, but maybe one that looks like this:

MMMmmmm, Yummy!
Also, I'm thinking of buying a Betta fish when I get back from China. Maybe one like this?:

I love Betta fishes.
Anyhow, have a nice day, and if you get a flu shot, RELAX your arm. I didn't do it properly and my arm hurts because of it.
Big Toe says:A hamburger by any other name costs twice as much.

Time Change

Well, I know this happened two days ago, but I saw this video on a blog my mon reads, HMS Indefatigable and wanted it for MY blog.

hee. hee. The cat isn't aware that the time has changed.
Big Toe says: Say, this gives me an idea.

I love to Sing-a

I was just watching a funny little video in the EXTRA'S section of our Happy Feet DVD, and now I can't get the little song out of my head. I know the entire first verse:
I love to sing-a
About the moon-a and the June-a and the spring-a,
I love to sing-a,
About a sky of blue-a, or a tea for two-a,
Anything-a with a swing-a to an "I love you-a,"
I love to, I love to sing!

Silly, isn't it? But FUNNY!
Anyways, nothing much else to add.
Big Toe says: I love-a to, I love-a to SINGGGGGGGG!

Tama Craze

I'll admit it. I did it again. I went and bought ANOTHER tamagotchi. Aughhh!!! I just forgot. I haven't been looking after him. Hold on...
Thank goodness. He's fine. Here's a picture of what he looks like:

It's a beaver. How Canadian. *sigh* He wasn't that charactr I wanted I wanted this one:

I really do like this one. I'm not that big on tamagotchis anymore like I was a few years ago, but I got one because I couldn't think of what to do with my money. It was "burning a hole in my pocket" as my Mom would say.
Bye!
Big Toe says: Snurff.

Chocolate!

I've discovered a new game---Chocolatier. I got the 1 hour trial version, and I liked it so much that I decided to buy the full game. Why? Oh, there's just something about chocolates......
Speaking of Chocolates, a lot of my friends really PIGGED out last night on halloween candy. I did not. No, I am not lying. I get full really easily and I only ate a bunch of Girl Guide Cookies (yes, I bought a box. From myself. I gave the money to my parents, although my dad probably owes me 50 cents, seeing as how he ate quite a few of them.)
We made the totoro pumpkin, but it didn't turn out very well. I'll post a picture of it sometime before we smash it. The thing I really like about the pumpkins are the pumpkin seeds. Yum.
Big Toe says: "Trick or Treat!!!"
